Safety First – Every Mile Matters

Reminders for Drivers:

  • BUCKLE UP: Always wear your seat belt and ensure all passengers are buckled up, regardless of seat location.
  • FOLLOW SPEED LIMITS: Adhere to posted speed limits and adjust your speed according to road and weather conditions.
  • AVOID DISTRACTIONS: Keep your focus on the road. Avoid using mobile phones, eating, or engaging in other distracting activities while driving.
  • OBEY TRAFFIC SIGNALS: Follow all traffic signals and signs, and be particularly cautious at intersections.
  • USE TURN SIGNALS: Always signal your intentions to other drivers by using your turn signals well in advance of turning or changing lanes.
  • WEATHER CONDITIONS: Stay informed about weather forecasts and be prepared to adjust your driving to accommodate rain, fog, or other adverse conditions.
  • ROAD CONDITIONS: Be aware of current road conditions, including construction zones, and adjust your driving accordingly.
  • REGULAR INSPECTIONS: Keep your vehicle in good condition by performing regular maintenance checks on brakes, tires, lights, and fluid levels.
  • TIRE SAFETY: Ensure your tires are properly inflated and have adequate tread to prevent blowouts and improve handling.
  • LIGHTS AND SIGNALS: Check that all lights and signals are functioning properly to ensure visibility and communication with other road users.
  • KEEP A SAFE DISTANCE: Maintain a safe following distance from the vehicle ahead to allow adequate reaction time in case of sudden stops.
  • REST AND ALERTNESS: Avoid driving when you are tired. Take regular breaks on long trips to rest and stay alert.
