At Hunton, our heroes think outside of the box. They proudly represent our Hunton Values. When there is a problem, they don’t hesitate to come up with a solution or to lend a helping hand. They Imagine It. Love it. Own it.
We greatly appreciate the noble acts of these men and women and consider them part of the Hunton family. To recognize their “super powers,” we have created this digital space to give Kudos to those stepping up to the challenges they see with an open heart and mind. They say kindness is contagious. Feel free to share and spread these stories and nominate a hero near and dear to you!
TOMMY DENNING, HUNTON GROUP (May 27, 2020)
Here at the Hunton Group, we have our own super hero on board. Tommy Denning, our HSE Director, is the very definition of a “Hunton Hero!” His normal day to day activities always place our employees safety as his top priority; and since mid-March, he and his team, along with leadership, have been working tirelessly to keep our Hunton family safe and well informed about COVID-19. He has been a source of information and support internally and externally. Below is a small snippet of encouragement from an email he sent in late March:
“Through this time, we earn a greater guarantee of not only surviving this storm but coming out a stronger company on the other side of this. Our families, both work and home, are relying on us to be those quiet heroes; to make the extra efforts that will weather us through these powerful headwinds.”
We are very lucky to have the experience, the compassion and the leadership that Tommy brings to the Hunton Group. Thank you Tommy, you are our “Hunton Hero.”
DAVID JOHNSON, HUNTON DISTRIBUTION (May 18, 2020)
He continuously goes above and beyond when it comes to taking charge of situations. He really stepped up to lead the counter for the curbside pickup here at Westpark location.
NANCY LILIE’S SISTER, DONNA, HUNTON SERVICES (May 15, 2020)
I would like to take the opportunity to nominate my sister, Donna Bradley as a Hunton Hero. Donna is a Contract ER Nurse, currently contracted through the Navajo Nation Reservation in Arizona. She has been working tirelessly at the Kayenta Heath Center (on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona) for the past few months. She has, along with her teammates, worked many long hours during this pandemic.
As her contract came to an end, she elected to remain on the Reservation, and is now contracted at the Chinle Comprehensive Medical Center, both are Indian Health Service (HIS) Centers. She amazes me, she could have elected to go home, stay with her family and grand babies until the COVID-19 pandemic was over, but instead, she chose to make a difference and stay on the front line and fight for those who can’t fight for themselves. She is, and will remain, my hero.
STEVE RAAYMAKER’S BROTHER, HUNTON SERVICES (May 8, 2020)
“I want to recognize my brother Joe, who is a COVID-19 survivor, from Clinton Iowa. Joe is the Clinton Police Department Captain and was asked to make a public service announcement on the effects from the virus to encourage people to follow the rules.” -Steve

NOLAN HYMAN, HUNTON DISTRIBUTION (May 5, 2020)
Nolan goes out of his way to assist dealers in understanding the parts and supplies they should be selling during this time of COVID-19.
GABE MARINEZ, HUNTON SERVICES (May 1, 2020)
Gabe Marinez has been a great source of information during COVID-19. He has worked to coordinate efforts to get personal protective equipment (PPE) to employees across Hunton Services and is a trusted leader when people need leadership most. Gabe’s involvement makes me feel safe and I appreciate his efforts. He’s a “Hunton Hero” within Hunton.
RAMIRO GARCIA, HUNTON DISTRIBUTION (April 27, 2020)
We are happy to announce our next “Hunton Hero” is Ramiro Garcia! He is being recognized for his outstanding, selfless service on our curbside pickup team at the Hunton Distribution parts store on Westpark Drive.
KRIS HARDIN, HUNTON SERVICES (April 21, 2020)
Our latest “Hunton Hero” is Kris Hardin (President and General Manager, Hunton Services) and the Hunton Services team. Last Saturday, they held a curbside face mask pick up for employees and their families. Every employee received 4 reusable/washable cloth face masks along with a few Hunton goodies. Our CEO, Richard Hunton, Jr. was in attendance along with support from our HR team. Our HSE team was also there to make sure everyone was following the proper safety and sanitization precautions.
“It’s understandable why we are feeling a bit down because of this epidemic and the uncertainty. You all have shown lots of courage and developed abilities for getting through this. I am thankful for all that you do.”
LINDA COFFMAN, HUNTON DISTRIBUTION (April 17, 2020)
Check out our “Hunton Hero,” Linda Coffman of Hunton Distribution, for the making and distribution of masks for our employees!
“To show my appreciation and give back some of the Hunton heart that I’ve experienced in the short time I’ve been with the company, I decided to turn my spare room into a mini mask production area. I am so happy to see my sewing machine, material, and thread all over the place. I even have my husband involved with production and delivery! It’s a small way I can say thank you for those working in the frontlines.”
